About Blue Waves Bridal Hair & Makeup

My name is Samantha and I am the owner and one of the lead makeup artists for Blue Waves Bridal and we are based in Asheville, NC.  We service the Asheville area as well as the surrounding Western NC area within a 2.5 hour radius of Asheville for all the venues here for our Appalachian brides-to-be!  With our team, we can accommodate bridal parties of most sizes, and we still have a lot of team availability for 2025 and 2026.

We are a tight knit, senior-level only team of highly experienced and trained beauty team that work together closely to deliver more natural and classic soft glam makeup as well as tailored bridal hairstyles from our team of licensed cosmetologists that specialize in bridal work for longevity of styles in the beauty work we offer.

Service Minimums & Booking Flexibility

Peak Season Saturdays (late April–mid June & September–October) To ensure optimal scheduling for our team, we maintain a standard minimum of 5–6 services per stylist for peak Saturday dates.

Friday & Sunday Flexibility We love accommodating smaller, intimate weddings or bride-only bookings on Fridays and Sundays! For these dates, we require a total cumulative booking minimum of just 4–5 services total (hair and/or makeup combined) for the entire event.

The Blue Waves Advantage Because our premier bridal stylists are fully licensed and cross-trained in both hair and luxury makeup, our team is uniquely structured to provide an incredibly seamless, high-end experience for these smaller wedding parties without requiring a massive headcount.

When reaching out with inquiries, please include the following if possible:

  • Venue or on-site service location, or does the client need in-studio services? Would we be utilizing a bridal suite on-site at the venue or any rental properties nearby or needing in-studio services?

  • Timing Criteria: Also do you know of timing for day of as for the ceremony or any pre-ceremony timing criteria for the hair and makeup finish times needed?

  • Trial/Preview Hair and/or Makeup Appointment: Do you also know if the client is local to the Asheville area or if there are any specific dates needed or the trial/preview appointment as well?  Or if they are leaning towards day of beauty services only?

  • Following I can assign the team and send over portfolios for the assigned team stylists' portfolio link/folder for the clients to review, as well as a proposed logistics hair and makeup timeline to accommodate timing needs. Also, would we be utilizing a bridal suite on-site at the venue or any rental properties nearby or needing in-studio services?

✿ Since preview hair & makeup appointment availability can vary across our team, we recommend booking your trial as early as possible to ensure it aligns with the availability of your assigned beauty professionals for your wedding date.
